How much money should I bring and how will I obtain more money there?
It is difficult to determine how much you will need as everyone lives differently. But some things to consider are: See Tuition to understand all the costs related to the program.

How much is tuition and what does it cover?
Tuition for the Fall 2010 is $4,200 per semester.
Married couple tuition is often less per person but can vary based on available accomodations. Contact us for more information.

Tuition includes payment for your room and utilities, travel to outreach events, speakers, and some meals (see Food/Dining).

Do I have to bring a laptop?
Laptops are encouraged but not required. We have computers available for study but the nature of the program requires personal access to a computer.

Do I need to have all my books before I come?
No. You can alway order the books as you need them. You may want to order them through Amazon or Paperback Swap as you need them. Just allow for delivery time as you order them. There is little room to fall behind on reading.

Kindle service is available in Williams and some books are available for the Kindle.

If I bring a laptop do I need to bring any special equipment for the internet?
You will need a wireless card to connect to the internet.

Will I have email?
Each student will receive and email account through The Church Works, but your personal email can also be accessed while using the internet.

How old to I have to be to attend?
You need to be a high school graduate.

Can I attend only one semester?
Yes. But due to the nature of the program it is recommended to commit to two semesters in their rightful order before you begin the program

Do I need to bring sheets, pillows or towels?

Will I need health insurance?
YES! The Church Works does not offer medical insurance and it is required to attend. Proof of insurance is required when registering.

Students who want coverage while attending here should check their policies at home to see what is covered before coming.For coverage ehealthinsurance.com provide individual health insurance from major providers at good rates.

The Church Works does have a nurse available to students, if the need arises.

How much storage space will I have?
You will be sharing a dorm room with other students. Each person will have a place to store their clothes in their room, with access to common closets for coats, hats, boots and gloves.

How big will my room be?
It will vary in size.Rooms will be shared with other students. Most space has available a bed, dresser and closet space for each student.

Is the water safe to drink?
Yes. The best well water in the US straight from a well.

Can I make phone calls?
Cell phones are welcome and useful for being in touch. Some services (AT&T) are not available. We have a VOIP system that is available for students to send and recieve calls. Of course cell phones are welcome. Some services get poor reception while in Williams, you will not know until you arrive however.
